Changes to energy comparison sites are bad news for older consumers

Paul Green, director of communication for Saga commented "This is bad news for competition and even worse news for unsuspecting consumers.

"Many people have been encouraged to use energy comparison sites to ensure they are getting the best deal to help them make their money go further. These proposals could see some of the most vulnerable in society duped into believing they're getting the best deal - when In fact they're only being shown the deals from companies that have the deepest pockets.

"Comparing the cost of energy is complicated enough. These companies should be compelled to make the process easier for consumers not further mystify the whole process".
