Experience your own musical adventure on Saga’s new ‘André Rieu – beautiful music, enchanting cities’ tour, visiting Bratislava and Vienna with an included concert by Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra.

Music fans fly into Vienna and take a scenic drive along the banks of the Danube, immortalised by Johann Strauss in his famous waltz, crossing the Austrian border into Bratislava, Slovakia, for a four night stay at the 4-star Hotel Mercure Bratislava Centrum.

Guests explore Bratislava, with an included tour revealing the cities’ historic buildings, with its towering churches, burgher houses and charming streets. There is also a fantastic selection of quaint and traditional restaurants to choose from in the evening.

Next it’s on to Vienna with a tour of the city’s highlights and dinner in a traditional Viennese restaurant before it’s time to get ready for the concert! There will be a pre-concert briefing from the tour’s dedicated music host to help guests enjoy the music to the full, before heading to the Wiener Stadthalle, with category two seating reserved exclusively for Saga guests. The show is known to have audiences literally dancing in the aisles!

The adventure continues and before returning to the UK, on the last full day guests cross the border back into Austria to visit the former country estate of Prince Eugene of Savoy – Schloss Hof.

Guests have time to explore this fairy tale palace before returning to Bratislava for a late matinee performance at the Slovak National Theatre of the ballet La Corsaire, inspired by the Byron poem of the same name and composed by Adolphe Charles Adam.
