Fall in love with Bavaria

Fairytale castles, chocolate-box views and Eddie the Eagle movie magic!

Scenes from the new film ‘Eddie the Eagle’, which tells the story of British underdog ski jumper Eddie Edwards who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympics, were filmed in the beautiful Bavarian Alps.

Hundreds of extras donned retro shell suits and ski-wear to portray the Olympic teams alongside stars Taron Egerton, who plays Eddie, and Australian heart-throb Hugh Jackman, who plays coach Bronson Peary.

Saga guests will find year-round movie magic in the Bavarian Alps with chocolate-box views of the mountains, fairytale castles and medieval villages dotted along the beautiful rivers.

Mountain resort stays and river cruises embrace the best of Bavaria and Saga can take you there.
