Join a rousing celebration of the sea!

Saga Pearl II’s Maritime Mini Cruise will put a song in your heart

Rousing sea shanties, sea-themed menus and calls to important maritime ports celebrate life on the ocean wave during Saga Pearl II’s Maritime Mini Cruise.

Modern-day singers of traditional sea shanties entertain on board with lyrical folk songs and mighty voices during the four-day cruise which departs on April 3, 2018.

Saga Pearl II departs from Portsmouth, offering a view of HMS Victory, HMS Warrior and warships alongside the historic dockyard as she cruises across the English Channel.

The first call is to St Peter Port, in Guernsey, with its delightful blend of Gallic and British influences. Guests can experience life of a bygone era with a trip on a 1954 vintage Albion Victor coach to the Guernsey Folk and Costume or take a ferry to Sark, for a horse and carriage ride around the beautiful island.

Saga Pearl II then sails on to Honfleur, in Normandy, France. This pretty harbourside town has captured the imagination many artists thanks to Eugène Boudin, a local marine painter who was one of the first French landscape artists to paint outdoors. He encouraged others to paint in Honfleur, including Claude Monet.

Guests can also visit the Normandy beaches where Allied forces landed during Operation Overlord in World War II or visit Pegasus Bridge which was captured by British airborne forces in 1944.
