1 July 2024: Saga Cruises, the UK’s leading cruise line for the over 50s, is promoting selected 2024 cruises with some very special lower fares available for a limited time.  From destinations such as The Canaries, Canada and the USA - where guests will be joined by TV chef Phil Vickery and evolutionary biologist and paleoanthropologist Ella Al Shamahi, as part of Saga’s partnership with BBC Studios - to a spectacular month-long cruise of the Caribbean and even a festive cruise, there are some fantastic experiences available and offers to match.

Contrasts of Canada and the USA – Save up to £1,150 per person on this 29-night transatlantic cruise on Spirit of Adventure, departing Portsmouth on 21st September, priced from £6,969 per person (was £7,021pp). Joining guests onboard will be TV Chef Phil Vickery, who will be giving a cookery demonstration and Q&A, as well as ‘BBC Studios presents Human with Ella Al-Shamahi’.  Ella will be giving an insight into the making of the new BBC Studios produced series ‘Human’.

Canadian highlights include the cities of Sydney and Saint John, Halifax in Nova Scotia, renowned for its majestic natural scenery, as well as the Canadian islands of Prince Edward, Cap-aux-Meules and Newfoundland, where there is the opportunity to explore Corner Brook on the west coast and St John’s on the east.  While cruising the USA’s Atlantic coastline, guests will enjoy an overnight stay in Boston, including the landmarks of New York and Martha’s Vineyard. Capitals of the Canaries - Depart 23rd October from Portsmouth on this 13 night Spirit of Discovery Cruise, priced from £4,116 per person (was £4,535pp). This cruise visits La Palma, a hub for the New World explorers during the Age of Exploration, and trace 500 years of history in Gran Canaria’s capital Las Palmas and see the World Heritage Site of Tenerife, Mount Teide. Tropical Shores of the Caribbean – Saving up to £1200 per person, you can now cruise from £5,996 per person (was £6,699pp) - Depart Portsmouth on 5 November on this month-long all-inclusive cruise on Spirit of Discovery, which combines seven Caribbean islands with visits to Madeira and Tenerife. The itinerary features Barbados and St Lucia, the hidden gems of Bequia and Montseratt, plus the ‘Isle of Spice’ Grenada and the volcanic island of St Vincent.  Five included panoramic excursions include: Funchal, Madeira, St George's, Grenada, Castries, St Lucia, St John's, Antigua and Santa Cruz, Tenerife.  Plus, guests on this cruise can take advantage of Saga’s new nationwide car service, which is included.
