Next phase of ‘Tailor-Made Travel by Saga’ rolls out with four new regions and a host of incredible experiences
November 21, 2022: Saga’s new ‘Tailor-Made’ holidays proposition continues to grow with new destinations Costa Rica, Mauritius, Canada and South Africa now live, along with some incredible tours, rail and road journeys, cruise and fly options, and hotels, and worldwide car rental.
At its full year results in September the operator announced the launch of ‘Tailor-Made Travel by Saga’ with the aim of enabling travellers to create the perfect itinerary to suit them and add on options that will enhance their trip, all backed up by the high-standards and quality they expect from Saga.
These new destinations join a range of stunning options across Asia and the United Arab Emirates*, which were announced at launch. Saga is taking a phased approach to the launch with new destinations and holiday options being added throughout the rest of 2022.
Costa Rica is a destination with incredible wildlife, national parks, beaches and adventure and Saga is bringing those highlights to guests with a range of independent tours to choose from ranging between 12 and 18 days. Guests are also offered the option of coast-to-coast self-drives of varying lengths, and because there’s so much to see and do, there’s the opportunity to relax with some extended beach time at the end in places such as Manuel Antonio, Tamarindo and Guanacaste. An all-inclusive option is also being added for the Westin Reserva Conchal in Guanacaste, Saga’s new flagship hotel in Costa Rica and the perfect add-on to any tour.
Saga’s new Mauritius holidays offer a range of beach hotels of 3*, 4* and 5* ratings, with all board options available from bed and breakfast to all-inclusive. There are also twin-centre holidays available showcasing North and South Mauritius, and an option to combine seven nights in Mauritius with three nights on the beautiful island of Reunion.
Canada is always popular with Saga guests and a new range of ‘cruise and stay’, motorhome, independent tours and rail adventures are now all available to book.
Saga has partnered with Holland America to offer its first ‘cruise and stay’ products, which include Alaskan cruises from Vancouver combined with either independent or guided tours through the likes of the Canadian Rockies and Alaska’s Denali National Park. A new partnership with Cruise Canada motorhomes with itineraries built by Saga delivers a range of road trips in Western Canada and Eastern Canada, and independent tours are also now available with some unique options put together especially for Saga guests, such as a week enjoying the highlights of Ontario, including wine tasting and a boat ride to the base of Niagara Falls. Rail adventures, a relaxing and easy way to see Canada’s stunning scenery are also on sale.
Last, but not least, South Africa has joined Tailor-Made Travel by Saga’s offering with a variety of modular independent stays that can be combined based on personal preference. For example, three nights in Cape Town, a drive along the Garden Route, a tour of the winelands, and time at the Eastern Cape game lodges before finishing in Kruger National Park. There are also a range of either self-drive or chauffeur-driven private tours, plus the option to add on rail journeys on the luxurious Blue Train and Rovos Rail as they travel across South Africa. Guests wishing to relax a little after a busy holiday in South Africa can also add on time in Mauritius.
John Constable, CEO of Saga Group said:
“We expect these latest ‘Tailor-Made Travel by Saga’ options to prove extremely popular with customers who we know love to explore and see the best a region has to offer, with the knowledge and expertise of a brand like Saga behind them.
“These new holidays include some incredible experiences such as coastal road trips in Canada, wildlife tours in Costa Rica, luxury rail journeys across South Africa, and beautiful beach holidays in Mauritius. They join our already launched range of tailor-made trips to Asia and the Middle East and we’re looking forward to rolling out more exciting destinations and experiences between now and the end of the year.”
In the last month a further 20 new hotels have also been added to Saga’s new Asia holidays, including to new and popular destinations such as Khao Lak & Koh Yao Noi in Thailand. Other new options include city breaks and stop-overs in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore; new private tours in Laos, Cambodia & Northern Vietnam, and a rejuvenation spa retreat in Bali
More destinations are set to roll-out through the rest of the year, along with even more tour, hotel, cruise & stay, rail and road journeys.
