Saga Health Insurance becomes an option to brokers nationwide for the first time

  • Brokers can introduce customers to the Saga Health Insurance team
  • Scheme offers impressive commission rates and trials show a high conversion rate from quote to purchase

Saga has launched a new Health Insurance Introductions initiative, enabling Saga’s Health Insurance policies to become an option to brokers nationwide for the first time.

Creating an alternative option for brokers whose customers are aged over 50, the new Saga Health Insurance Introductions initiative allows potential health insurance customers to be introduced to Saga through a network of selected brokers.

Saga is able to offer the flexibility of five health insurance plans, that contain unique features and attractive joining terms and have been designed specifically for the needs of people aged 50 and over. In a recent trial phase, the initiative achieved a quote-to-policy conversion rate of over 40%.

The Saga Health Insurance Introductions process is designed to be simple. Brokers are assigned a personal introducer code and have access to the experienced Saga Health Insurance customer team through a direct broker referral process.  Once referred, the Saga team will contact the customer and create personalised quotes based on their individual requirements.

Saga Health Insurance Introductions is a welcome new option for brokers who will receive up to 30% commission for all confirmed, converted sales and they can continue to benefit for a further two years if the client renews their policy.

In recent years the health insurance market has seen a lot of consolidation and with the recent withdrawal of April UK, there is less choice for customers and brokers.  This is a great time to open up our cover and provide brokers with a new option and the opportunity to introduce their clients to our high-quality cover and service.’
