Saga launches brand new Cruise Trade team
In 2015, the over 50s in the UK spent approx £2.2 billion on cruise holidays and a quarter* (25%) of over 50s say that they would go on a cruise if they could take a trip with no limitations (i.e. time, money or health). “Ship passenger days” have also increased by 6.7% to 336,000, cruising is fast becoming a favourite choice of holiday.
Saga currently has two ships in its fleet, Saga Sapphire carrying 720 passengers and Saga Pearl II carrying 449. In September 2015, Saga announced its intention to build its own ship, aiming for delivery in Autumn 2019.
