Swim, Snorkel, Sail

Join sleek 25-cabin sailing cruiser MS Galileo to explore the idyllic Cyclades islands

Do you dream of taking a morning swim in crystal clear waters, exploring uninhabited Greek islands and sunbathing on the deck of a sleek 48-metre sailing cruiser?

If so, Saga’s new seven-night Jewels of the Cyclades offers eight departures from April to September 2018.

Four-star MS Galileo moors overnight on the islands of Folegandros, Santorini, Paros, Delos, Mykonos and Cape Sounion, offering both relaxation time and the opportunity to discover pretty villages dotted with sugar-cube white houses and ancient cities steeped classical mythology.

The 25-cabin sailing cruiser has spacious public areas, a bar, dining room, sun deck and cabins each have and en suite bathroom with shower, a television and mini-fridge. In the evenings stay on board to enjoy barbecues on deck, learn Greek dancing or wander into the nearest town to find a friendly tavern.

Cruise highlights include the uninhabited island of Poliegos, known for its beautiful beaches, and Santorini, to explore the cliffside capital of Fira or watch the sun set from Oia.

Swim and snorkel in the bay of Antiparos and discover the archaeological heritage of Delos, the birthplace of the mythical god of daylight, Apollo.

Mykonos is an island of contrasts with superb beaches and plenty of retail therapy in the maze of quaint streets with designer boutiques, restaurants and inviting bars.

See Neo-classical buildings, mansions and white houses cascade down to the harbour in Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, while in Kythnos, pause for a swim in the blue Aegean waters of Kolones Bay. At Cape Sounion, visit the 700BC Temple of Poseidon, dedicated to the God of the sea.
