Titan Travel’s European 2024 brochure set to launch with more activities and excursions

Titan Travel’s European 2024 brochure set to launch with more activities and excursions: Azores

14 August, 2023: Titan Travel is already the UK’s most awarded tour-operator, but never one to rest on its laurels, the company has been listening to customer feedback and has launched a range of new experiences as part of its European 2024 brochure that has been released today.

These include offering more hands-on activities and exciting optional add-ons for customers to choose from including balloon rides in Cappadocia, Turkey.

There are also new tours in destinations such as the Azores, Tuscany, Turkey, Valencia and Madeira.

Andy Squirrell, Chief Commercial Officer, Saga Travel Group, said: “We listen very carefully to our customers so when they told us they wanted even more opportunities to try new things, we took that to heart. In response, we’ve launched a whole host of new adventurous activities and some real once-in-a-lifetime moments to our Europe 2024 holidays. We think they’re going to be a real hit with customers looking for something special.”

New to Titan’s 2024 line up are:

The Unique Azores – An Island-Hopping Adventure

The Azores are being added to Titan’s brochure for the first time. After being collected by chauffeur from home and driven to the airport for the flight to this remote location, the 10-day, two-island tour starts with a walking tour of Ponta Delgada, followed by an excursion to the thermal pools in the Furnas Valley, a visit to a pineapple plantation and Sete Cidades and trips to Lagoa do Fogo, Caldeira Velha and Ribeira Grand with their lakes and waterfalls. An excursion to northeast São Miguel visits Europe’s only tea plantation, followed by a half-day walking tour of Angra do Heroísmo and a visit to Terceira island with its vineyards grown in lava soil. A well-deserved three-days of relaxation time is also included in the trip. There are a range of departure dates available in May, June, September and October 2024. Prices include flights, accommodation and 16 meals and start from £2,995 per person (for a 2 October or 16 October departure). The Essence of Tuscany

In response to high demand for Italian tours, Titan has created a holiday that combines Tuscany’s stunning countryside with the region’s historic towns and cities, from Renaissance Florence to the ‘medieval Manhattan’ of San Gimignano. There’s also the opportunity for guests to add on a coastal extension so they can relax on Italy’s beautiful beaches. Over a leisurely eight days, the tour visits Siena’s shell-shaped piazza, samples superb wines in the heart of Chianti, walks Lucca’s city walls and tours the home of Tuscany’s most famous opera composer, Giacomo Puccini.  There’s also an optional tour of Val d’Orcia Terre Senesi, with its peaceful abbey and lunar-like clay landscapes of the Crete Senesi. The next stop is Pienza, with time to explore the renaissance city and sample the famous locally made pecorino cheese. An alternative extension is a boat excursion to uncover Cinque Terre, the ‘five lands’ national park in Liguria, with terraced farmed land and colourful houses in villages that are only accessible by sea. Prices include flights, accommodation and 11 meals and start from £1,945 per person departing on 17 April 2024 (other dates are also available). Both additional optional tours are £108 per person each when booked in advance. For more information and to book visit titantravel.co.uk or call 0808 258 3029.

Contrasts of Valencia

This tour uncovers the lesser-visited city of Valencia with its contrasting old town, modern science museums, beaches and freshwater lagoons, all within a stone’s throw of each other. Included in the eight-day trip is a tour of Valencia Old Town including the cathedral and Central Market, a visit to Alquería’s horchata (a nutty drink of the region) factory with tour and tasting, a tour of modern Valencia including the exteriors of L’Hemisfèric and Science Museum, a guided tour and boat trip in Albufera Natural Park, a paella cookery class and demonstration, a tour of the museum of Artist Fallero with Agua de Valencia tasting, and a restful three days of free time.  Prices include flights, accommodation and 12 meals and start from £1,795 per person departing on 29 May 2024 (other dates are also available). Little Boats of Andalucia

Titan is launching a tour that gives guests the ease and comfort of staying in Jerez de la Frontera in Andalucia, with a range of boat trips to soak up the territory’s fascinating mix of culture and history. The tour involves a guided walking tour of Jerez, including a sherry tasting; a Flamenco show; tours of Sanlúcar de Barrameda and Seville; boat trips to Doñana National Park, on the Guadalquivir River, and from Cádiz to Rota, plus a guided walking tour there. There’s also the option to add-on a daytrip to Ronda, which is an incredible mountaintop city dramatically set over the El Tajo Gorge that divides Ronda. This unique city has a fascinating history of bandits and artists and has one of the most important landmarks in the region - the Moorish palace of Casa del Rey Moro, which is built into the cliff face. Prices include flights, accommodation and 12 meals and start from £1,545 per person for this seven-day tour for departures on 8 April and 15 April 2024 (other dates are also available). For more information and to book visit titantravel.co.uk or call 0808 258 3029.

Ultimate Turkey – Istanbul to Cappadocia

Titan’s ever-popular Turkey tour now has an extension to Konya and Cappadocia. The tour takes in Istanbul’s minaret-studded skyline, the poignant battlefields at Gallipoli, the chariot-wheel rutted streets of Ephesus, and the white terraced pools of Pamukkale before heading East, crossing the plains of Anatolia to the honeycombed hills and fairy chimneys of Cappadocia, where guests can see the iconic hot air balloons that dot the sky. They can also take flight in one of the balloons for a once in a lifetime opportunity.  Prices include flights, accommodation and 17 meals and start from £2,295 per person for this 10-day tour for departures on 24 April and 1 May 2024 (other dates are also available). A flight on one of the famous Cappadocia balloons needs to be booked in advance and costs an additional £365 per person.
