Saga puts the glitz into glamping at Twinwood vintage music festival

Music festival fans who love home comforts can snuggle under Egyptian white linen and 13.5 tog duvets, charge mobile phones and keep their wine cool in Saga’s exclusive glamping village at the Twinwood Festival of vintage music and dancing.

During the four days of live performances, with music spanning the 1920s to 1970s, there’s full-on decadence in sumptuous tents featuring luxury double-height inflatable mattresses, electricity, magical fairy lights and storm-lanterns, Indian rugs, hand-painted Bajot tables – and even a boot tray and doormat!

Travelling with Saga means nobody has to drag camping gear into a field; guests can park their car and check-in at reception to opt for the porterage service. Toilets and hot showers add to the creature comforts while the chill-out tent is the place to relax on cushions and deck chairs. There are fridges to store food, and complimentary tea and coffee in the hospitality tent.

Saga guests stay on a self-catering basis at Twinwood, a former RAF base in the heart of rural Bedfordshire, during the 2019 August Bank Holiday.

The festival features more than 13 music and dance venues and a myriad of eateries from a carvery and Asian fusion buffet to pizzas or bangers and mash. The many drinking holes include a real ale pub, cocktail bar and a 1940s-themed bar.
