Saga has today announced an exciting new programme which will see a lucky group of travel agents become ‘Saga Stars’, benefitting from a raft of rewards and prizes.
The over-50s holiday and cruise specialist is looking to assemble a small group of star travel agents who demonstrate ongoing support for the brand, providing both sales and promotional activity.
This exclusive group will be rewarded for their support with £1000 towards a holiday in a European Hotel, an invite to Saga’s VIP Travel Agent event onboard Spirit of Adventure, guaranteed place on a FAM trip and to their annual Christmas lunch, as well as a dedicated Saga Trade Team member to support marketing, events and visits. They will also join a Trade day at Saga’s Folkestone head office – with a complimentary overnight stay.
One member of the group, the Saga Super Star, will at the end of 2020, receive £500 towards their Christmas shopping!
Entrants do not have to meet the over-50s age requirement that applies to Saga guests, but they must have completed a Saga Experts programme – www.sagaexperts.co.uk.
Interested agents can nominate themselves or a colleague, by emailing trade.events@saga.co.uk between December 1 and 20, 2019, sending a short summary outlining why they should be considered. Saga would welcome a supporting video!
The 2020 ‘Saga Stars’ scheme will run from January 2 to December 31, 2020.
Judges will be looking for those agents who have demonstrated promotion and support for Saga through groups such as Travel Gossip and Travel Squawk, acting as ambassadors for Saga within their own business. In their year as a Saga Star, members will be asked to continue this vital support, as well as acting as an ambassador for Saga within their business, in addition to providing feedback for the Trade Team on areas such as incentives, offers and marketing.

Terms and Conditions: Saga Stars scheme will run from 2nd January to 31st December 2020. Saga Stars will run each year and agents will need to reapply to be a part of the programme. Saga Trade team can withdraw the programme at any time throughout the year to Saga Star’s that don’t up keep to the programme guidelines. Saga Trade team will determine the location of the free holidays and will advise of dates. Guaranteed FAM trip place will be offered, Saga Trade team are not obliged to offer an alternative if the first one is declined, subject to availability.
