Cruise with focus: Morocco

Photography lessons to capture holiday memories

Photography lessons to help guests capture memories of the Canaries, Madeira’s mountains and the majestic Casablanca skyline feature on Saga Sapphire’s Treasures of the Canaries and Morocco all-inclusive winter sun cruise.

The sailing includes a trio of the Canaries’ best-known islands, as well as exotic Morocco to discover the region’s unique culture, architecture and varied landscapes, which are a photographer’s dream for drama, colour and atmosphere.

Look forward to admiring Hassan II mosque in Casablanca as the ship approaches port to watch the sun rise over the mosque or choose to experience magical Marrakech on a memorable overland visit.

In Agadir, guests can jump in a 4x4 vehicle for a scenic drive to Paradise Valley, through the palm groves and gorges to see traditional local houses with the Atlas Mountains as a backdrop. Argan trees dot the landscape – these indigenous trees produce a highly prized oil used in beauty products.

Further tours include a whale-watching boat trip from Tenerife, a hike through the exotic forests of Madeira or a jeep safari in the capital, Funchal.

In Lanzarote, guests can visit the garden of artist César Manrique, created in harmony with natural lava bubbles.

Gran Canaria, one of the prettiest Canary Islands, with the peak of Pozo de Las Nieves at its centre, and the Galician city of Vigo, in Spain, are also on the itinerary which is part of Saga Sapphire’s Farewell Season.

The all-inclusive sailing features a UK travel package to and from the port and a choice of table wines at lunch and dinner, house-branded spirits and soft drinks are included. Tips are also included in the cruise price.
