Get into the Spirit of Adventure on cruise to eight Caribbean islands

Get into the Spirit of Adventure on cruise to eight Caribbean islands: GEN Stingrays MISC 24892

Enjoy sunsets in paradise during all-inclusive no-fly sailing on new boutique ship

  • Chance to swim with stingrays
  • Overnight stay in Barbados
  • Rum distillery visit

Explore the vibrant traditions of eight sunshine islands during new ship Spirit of Adventure’s first sailing to the Caribbean in November 2020.

Guests can experience an awe-inspiring sunset through the palm trees during an overnight stay in Barbados, sip rum punch on a tropical island paradise off the sandy shores of Anguilla, enjoy a fiery limbo show to the sounds of the steel drum in Trinidad and dare to swim with stingrays in the crystal-clear waters surrounding Antigua.

A leisurely scenic railway ride offers a perfect way to admire the dazzling scenery of St Kitts although the more adventurous can tackle a hike through the tropical forests and there’s a chance to visit the Bacardi Rum distillery from the port of San Juan in Puerto Rico, as well as the lively local markets on Grenada, the ‘Isle of Spice’.

During the 31-night Rhythm of the Caribbean cruise guests can also opt for a catamaran cruise to the secluded, breath-takingly beautiful bay at Anse Cochon in St Lucia and back on board sun-worshippers can laze by the pool in The Lido and eat alfresco on the terrace.

The 999-passenger ship also moors in Ponta Delgada in the Azores during the Atlantic crossing and on the return sailing stops at the island of Faial, where fascinating churches and museums sit in a landscape dominated by the Caldeira.

Entertainment on the all-balcony boutique ship has a tropical twist with festive food and drink, creative workshops, local musicians and dancers, a book club and talks on history and culture.

Saga’s Explore Ashore team is always on hand with advice about tours and top places to visit from restaurants to attractions, while experts from conservation charity ORCA can help guests look out for whales, dolphins and seabirds.

The cruise includes all meals – including speciality restaurants, a choice of table wines at lunch and dinner, house-branded spirits and soft drinks, sumptuous afternoon teas, 24-hour room service, welcome cocktail party and unlimited quality tea and coffee in selected venues, free wifi and a chauffeur service to and from the port of Southampton.
