The success of Saga’s holiday business for over-50s has been recognised with a coveted award for Iain Powell, the company’s Head of Trade Sales.

Iain was named Young Manager of the Year at Travel Weekly’s British Travel and Hospitality Hall of Fame ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel, Park Lane, London, on Monday (April 29).

Saga’s Managing Director, Maria Whiteman, said the award was a fantastic achievement for Iain, who joined the company in January 2018.

She said: “The Hall of Fame recognises the highest achievers in the travel, hospitality, tourism and leisure sectors. I am delighted that Iain has won the award and it is very well deserved.” 

Iain said: “My team and I had a successful 2018 and that’s testament to their hard work and focus, so I very much share this award with them all.” 

“We continue to focus on driving growth through the trade for the Saga travel business and we hope to have a similarly successful 2019 and beyond.

“I’m incredibly honoured to have been considered in this category, alongside a group of talented individuals from across the industry.”
