Depart Dover and fly home from Montreal or
vice-versa on 15 or 17-night sailings

Award winning Wildlife cameraman photographer Tom Rowland to join Impressions of Canada itinerary

PLUS:
Option to extend holiday with hotel stay and visit to Niagara Falls

Saga has released two new fly-cruise options to tempt guests to explore Canada’s natural beauty this spring.

The all-inclusive fly-cruises, with a choice of 15 or 17 nights, sailing on 720-passenger Saga Sapphire, feature an outward or return journey by air via Montreal.

The 15-night† Impressions of Canada cruise departs from Dover on May 13, 2019 and guests fly home overnight from Montreal on May 27. Prices start from £2,799 per person and the cruise features calls to St John’s in Newfoundland; Sydney, Gaspe and Sept Iles in Canada.

Guests can look forward to arriving in Newfoundland with a chance to spot migrating whales, and wildlife photographer Tom Rowland will be on board to share his expertise and host a Q&A session. Wildlife experts from ORCA, the whale and dolphin conservation charity, will also be out on deck to help guests spot whales, dolphins and seabirds.

The fly-cruise includes a stay at the 4-star Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal on May 26-27 before an overnight flight to the UK.

The 17-night Great Cities of Canada cruise departs from Montreal on May 26 and sails in to Dover on June 12. Prices start from £3,199 per person and Saga Sapphire calls in to Corner Brook in Newfoundland, Quebec and Halifax in Canada, as well as volcanic Ponta Delgada in the Azores.

On arrival in Halifax, guests can explore Canada's National Museum of Immigration, which reveals the struggles of the people who shaped the country. Housed in a former immigration shed on Pier 21, more than one million immigrants landed here between 1928 and 1971.

In Corner Brook, on the west coast of Newfoundland, the Gros Morne National Park awaits; the World Heritage landscape forms part of an outlying range of the stunning Appalachian Mountains.

On board, as well as art and photography classes, guests can learn the Canadian Stomp with entertainment from fiddle and step-dance champions, The Fitzgeralds.

The all-inclusive sailings feature complimentary table wines at lunch and dinner, house-branded spirits and soft drinks, afternoon tea, 24-hour room service, welcome cocktail party and unlimited tea and coffee plus UK chauffeur service and a free shuttle bus to nearest town centre (whenever possible and when the ship is berthed more than 500 yards away). Gratuities are also included in the cruise price.

Guests on both fly-cruises can opt to extend the cruise with a hotel stay in Toronto and a visit to Niagara Falls.
