Take the Amtrak train from Pennsylvania Station, opt for a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls and see Mount Vernon, George Washington’s country home.

From the roaring power of Niagara Falls to the vibrant bustle of Times Square, natural and man-made wonders combine on Saga’s new nine-night Niagara, New York and Washington DC tour.

Adventures on this North American holiday include options to take a helicopter ride over Niagara Falls or a cruise into the mist storm of Horseshoe Falls, and guided tours of New York and Washington.

The relaxing three-and-a-half hour journey to Washington is made by rail, from the famed NYC Penn Station, built beneath the Madison Square Garden arena, from which 650,000 commuters travel in and out of the city daily.

In the nation’s capital, Saga’s guests stay at the Omni Shoreham Washngton (4Q), an elegant 1930s hotel which has hosted presidents, world leaders and inaugural balls.

Sightseeing includes the White House, Capitol Building, Supreme Court, Kennedy Centre and many more monuments and memorials, while free time can be spent visiting the Smithsonian institutions, or the International Spy Museum, or taking an excursion to Mount Vernon, the country home and plantation of George Washington.
