Saga’s seven Super Stars

Competition winners each receive a £1,000 holiday, join new ship Spirit of Adventure’s travel event, and a chance to win £500 in shopping vouchers

Saga has announced the winners of its Saga Stars competition to find seven travel agents who have demonstrated ongoing support for the brand, providing both sales and promotional activity.

Congratulations go to the seven Super Stars:

Rachel Jones from Miles Morgan

Ian Le-Fevre from Travel Counsellor

Suzi Anderson from Acomb Travel

Poppy Outram from Bolsover Cruise Club

Vikki Lomas from Prestbury Travel

Ian Warren from GoCruise and Travel

Amber Bellinger from Reader Offers Ltd

Each Saga Super Star wins a holiday valued at £1,000 and they now also have the chance to win £500 worth of shopping vouchers to help buy those holiday essentials.

The Stars will further benefit from a link with a dedicated Saga Trade Team member to support marketing, events and visits. They’ll also receive an invitation to a VIP Christmas lunch in December 2020.

In addition, the winners will join a two-night trade event onboard Saga’s newest boutique cruise ship, Spirit of Adventure before her inaugural cruise!

All entrants had completed a Saga Experts programme. They impressed the judges by promoting Saga and acting as an ambassador for the travel brand within their own business.

During 2020, the Stars will have dedicated Saga event days at their own store a couple of times a year and provide feedback for the Saga Trade Team on areas such as incentives, offers and marketing.

Saga’s Head of Trade Sales, Iain Powell, said: “We are delighted to announce the seven Stars who have shown excellent understanding of our holiday and cruise products.

“Their knowledge and enthusiasm for our fabulous over-50s holidays is really important to our business and we look forward to continuing our fun and productive working relationships in the future.”

The winners are excited too. Suzi Anderson from Acomb Travel, in York, said: “I am absolutely delighted to have been chosen as a Saga Star and I cannot wait to get started on the programme. I love the products and I am really looking forward to giving Saga even more support this year.”

Winner Ian Le-Fevre from Travel Counsellors added: “I’m really excited to be working closely with Saga in 2020. Having the opportunity to work alongside a niche market operator and offer balanced feedback from agents and customers about the Saga product, pricing, brochures, service levels, customer care and the booking process can only be beneficial to all.

“I’m also looking forward to targeting a new customer sector to grow my own business.”
