The ultimate fairy tale

Broadway, Bermuda and Barbados feature in 35-night festive voyage aboard Spirit of Discovery

  • Overnight stays in New York and Bermuda
  • Alligator seeking in the Everglades and a trip to Cape Canaveral
  • Take part in a Broadway-style show performance

Experience the magic of the festive season in New York and see in the New Year with a deck party beneath the stars in Bermuda on Spirit of Discovery’s historic 35-night Fairy Tale of New York voyage.

After her maiden Atlantic crossing from Southampton, the luxury boutique ship sails into the Caribbean with calls to Barbados, Dominica, St Maarten and Puerto Rico for days on palm-fringed powder-white sandy beaches or sunshine tours.

The journey continues to the USA with highlights including an optional helicopter ride over Key West, looking for alligators on an airboat through the Everglades from Miami and visiting the space centre at Cape Canaveral.

Christmas Day is spent at sea before a call to Norfolk, home to the oldest US naval port, and a legendary sail in to New York where festive lights sparkle over the city.

An overnight stay in the Big Apple offers time to join city tours while the ship’s Explore Ashore team can assist with independent exploration from helicopter flights to sourcing Broadway show tickets.

The next stop is St George, in Bermuda, with another overnight mooring to see in the New Year as well as lazing on pink-sand beaches or touring the oldest English colonial town in the New World.

During days at sea there are lectures and entertainment including Latin music, talks on current affairs by experts, and the chance to rehearse and perform in a Broadway-style show.

For relaxation the spa, pools, observation lounge and library await – and there’s even a secret terrace for dreamy times on deck.
