Two new appointments have added wide experience to Saga’s travel division, which provides holidays, cruises and city breaks for the over-50s.
Michael Fleetwood has been named Product and Purchasing Manager for Europe and North Africa, while Emma-Jane Browning becomes Senior Destination Services Manager.
Michael’s career in the industry began with TWA Getaway Vacations, followed by 10 years with Russian travel specialist Intourist, before he joined Cox and Kings as Product Manager responsible for Europe, North Africa, the Middle East and the Russian Federation.
Michael said: “I bring to this position 26 years of experience in the travel industry – 18 years as a manager – with a proven track record for increasing top line sales, margins and customer experiences.”
Saga’s Destination Services department is responsible for supporting its teams and developing service levels in resorts around the world, and Emma-Jane Browning said: “I am thrilled to be joining Saga Holidays and really excited to be working with our people overseas.
“In an ever-increasing, competitive market, we have to ensure we are delivering an experience to our customers that is simply beyond their expectations.”
Emma-Jane previously spent 10 years with James Villa Holidays, including time as a Villa Manager in Lanzarote and in roles as Head of Quality, Overseas Manager and Head of Customer Experience – Overseas. This involved providing a strong leadership to the overseas team - putting the customer at the forefront of every business decision and providing a first-class service throughout the customers’ overseas journey.
Saga’s Director of Product and Purchasing, Robert Goodwin, said: “Michael and Emma-Jane’s expertise will strengthen our commitment to providing fantastic experiences and service for our customers, I am delighted to welcome them to the team.”
